Established Wedding Networking Group Twin Cities Wedding & Event Professionals Celebrates 15 Year Anniversary
Since its first event in April 2009 Twin Cities Wedding & Event Professionals (TCWEP) has been hosting Venue Tour + Vendor Meetups on the second Wednesday of each month in the metro area; even during the COVID19 lockdowns TCWEP provided online Vendor Meetup events.
TCWEP has been to 149 different venues across the Twin Cities. It has brought together over 4000 event professionals. And TCWEP could not be what it is today without the support of it’s 1,400 volunteers and sponsors through the years.
TCWEP began in 2009, following the recession, 2 small business owners (Michelle Tverberg of Delight Photography and Matthew Sherry CEO of Complete Wedding & Events) decided to start networking together as a way to share business between their customers, knowing the impact of word of mouth referrals. It’s humble beginnings included folding-chairs and participants bringing in the midwestern staple of a crock pot from home to share some food at their meetings with a dozen or so entrepreneurs. That number began to grow and within a couple years the number reached about 80 to 150 attendees. 15 years later the group is still going strong.
As TCWEP celebrates its 15th year in business, the ultra-niche wedding networking organization is thrilled to be hosting it’s RED Gala on April 10th 5:30pm-8:30pm at Union Depot in the Red Cap Room with award winning catering by CRAVE Catering + Events and an award show spotlighting peer-nominated small businesses from across the metro area.
